ABOUT PAULA BROWN
Paula Brown is an accomplished dancer, singer, actress, choreographer, professor, author and certified Vaganova Instructor. A native of Washington, DC., she received her training at the reputable Jones-Haywood School of Dance, School of American Ballet, and The Alvin Ailey School of Dance, all on scholarship. She performed with The Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, Debbie Allen, Paula Abdul, Michael Peters, George Faison, Vince Patterson, Walter Painter, Donald McKayle, Ken Roberson, Otis Sallid, Larry Vickers, and many other notable choreographers. Ms. Brown appeared on Broadway, television and film.
She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), American Federation of Television and Radio Association (AFTRA), and Actors Equity Association (AEA). In 2013, Brown established the Paula Brown Performing Arts Center (PBPAC) and Brown Ballerinas company. Her mission is to uplift girls of color by addressing inadequate access to classical ballet training in minority communities.
