“Dancing Ophelia” features dance works inspired by the women of Shakespeare’s plays. “Incantations”, based on the three witches of Macbeth, is danced to the the eerily powerful vocals of Iva Bittova. Desdemona and Ophelia are featured, with movement expressing their unique and tragic predicaments. Other dances include “NchiCa”, a duet of warlike intensity with movement that is alternately combative and mournful; and “Divenire”, a dance of becoming.

Furia Flamenca Dance Company is excited to bring to the BlackRock Center their most recent production "Dualidades" where the energetic and passionate foot stomping of flamenco meets the edginess of Spanish rock.
