Elly Makowski

Elly Makowski is the Technical Director for BlackRock Center for the Arts, where she is responsible for bringing artistic ideas to life through the application of scientific and engineering principles.

Before joining BlackRock, she served as the Technical Director for Slayton House Theater in Columbia, MD. For several years, she has worked as a theatrical designer and technician for many venues in the DMV area including Everyman Theater, Adventure Theatre, Carroll Arts Center, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater, and Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts.

She holds a certification from the Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Audio Production and an AA in Music from Carroll Community College
